Read your spending report
A twelve-month bar chart of your everyday spending, and the transactions behind any month of it.
Open the More menu from the tray and tap Analytics. Along the top are three tabs, Month, Year and Giving. Month opens first.
The chart is twelve bars, one month each, running left to right. A tick mark sits across each bar at your budget for that month, so a bar rising past its tick is a month you went over. Seeing twelve of them at once is the point: one expensive month means little, three in a row means something.
Tap a bar to select that month, and a breakdown appears below it showing how the spending divided across your categories. Use the arrows under the chart to step back to an earlier twelve months.
Below that is a row of category pills. Tap one and the whole chart redraws for just that category across all twelve months, which is how you find out whether groceries have been creeping up or it was only last month. Tap All, or tap the same pill again, to go back to everything.
The card at the bottom of the screen holds the actual transactions. Drag it up to read them, grouped by category, and drag it to full height to scroll the lot. Tap any row to open that transaction and edit it. If you tap a slice of the breakdown first, the card narrows to that category, and tapping a subcategory slice narrows it further.
Small dimmed icons under an entry tell you what is attached: a note icon for a private note, a camera for a memory photo, a receipt icon for a receipt. Any combination can appear.
When Carlo notices something worth pointing out, six months of rising spending, or a month that stands well above the same month last year, a short insight appears above the chart.
This tab is your everyday spending only. Business, giving, and annual categories are deliberately left out, because mixing a once-a-year insurance payment into a monthly trend makes the trend meaningless. Annual categories have their own tab.
