Attach a photo to a transaction

Add pictures when you log something, or any time after, and choose which one represents it.

When you log by voice or by hand the camera opens as part of the flow, so the quickest time to add a photo is right then. Snap one, pick from your library, or skip it.

To add pictures later, open the transaction and tap the pencil in the top corner. That turns the photo block into an edit surface: buttons appear for the camera and your library, and each photo gets an ✕ to remove it. Tap the check when you are done. A transaction holds up to 13.

Every photo is either a Memory or a Receipt, and you can tap to switch which. Memories are the ones that belong in your Journal; receipts stay with the transaction as records. That distinction is the whole reason for the two tags.

Tap any photo to open the viewer and swipe between them. From there you can tap Promote to make a memory the main photo, change its Memory or Receipt tag, or delete it. The main photo is what represents the transaction everywhere else: your Journal, your weekly reviews, the monthly closeout. Only one leads at a time, and a receipt can never be the one, so re-tagging the leading photo as a receipt hands the job to another memory.

Press and hold a photo instead of tapping and it fills the screen, where you can pinch to zoom and save or share it from the top corner.

Photos are encrypted on your device before they upload, and the location and camera data your phone attaches is stripped first. Carlo cannot see your pictures.
