Answer a bank reminder
Match it to something you already recorded, log it as new, set it up as a bill, or say it needs nothing.
Tap a reminder and Carlo shows you what it knows: the amount, the date, and whatever the bank called it. Then it asks what that was.
If you already recorded it (you logged the coffee, or the bill is already marked paid), tap Match. Carlo connects the two and the reminder is done. It will not ask again.
If you have not recorded it yet, log it as a new transaction right there. The reminder fills in what it knows, you fill in the rest.
If it is a recurring payment you have not set up yet, set it up as a bill. Carlo starts the new bill with what the charge already tells it.
If it needs nothing from you, dismiss it. The reminder goes away and the transaction stays where it is, in your bank.
Not ready to decide? Later moves it out of the way without answering it. It waits for you under Later.
Sometimes Carlo suggests an answer — a transaction or a bill it thinks matches. It looks a few days either side of the charge, and a little wider for bills, since a payment can post early on autopay or late over a weekend. That is why a reminder may offer something you recorded on a nearby day. Sometimes it recognizes a purchase by amount even when the names look nothing alike. It checks the same day first, and only looks at the days around it if there is nothing there. It only ever offers one, and only when it is confident — if two things could both fit, Carlo offers neither rather than guess. If it offers the wrong thing, Not a match tells it so, and it will not suggest that one again.
Carlo also learns your names for places. Banks often use a legal name you would never recognize, so once you have matched the same merchant to the same payee a couple of times, Carlo starts recognizing it on its own.
Once you have told Carlo what a charge was, it does not ask again — even if you later change the bill or unmark it as paid. Those are different questions.
If you answer one by mistake, open Resolved and tap it. You can undo a match, or bring back a reminder you dismissed. Matching to a bill is the exception: that also records the payment, so it cannot be undone from the reminder — change the bill payment itself instead.
