Add a project to transactions
A project groups spending that cuts across categories, like a trip or a renovation.
Categories answer what something was. A project answers what it was for. Gas, hotels and snacks are three categories, but one weekend in Cincinnati, and a project is how you hold those together. A transaction can belong to several.
Open a transaction and tap the Projects row. Your projects appear with the ones already on this transaction sorted to the top, and you tap to add or remove. The list deliberately stays put as you tap rather than resorting under your thumb, so picking a second or third one is not a game of chase.
To make a new project, type its name in the search field and tap Create. Spelling is treated loosely, so "Cincinnati Trip" and "cincinnati trip" are the same project rather than two.
Go back when you are done, since every tap has already saved. Adding a project while you log something works the same way, except the picker slides up as a sheet instead of taking the whole screen.
