Set up a debt paydown goal

Track a debt you are paying down, with a payoff date and a monthly payment.

Open the More menu from the tray, tap Goals, and in the Debt Paydown section tap + Add a debt.

Pick an emoji and name it, something like Student Loans or Credit Card, choose a color, and enter the current balance owed. Then choose how fast to clear it, either Pick a completion date or Pick a monthly amount, with Carlo showing the other number; the monthly figure is just the balance divided by the months. Tap Save.

Open the goal to see how much you have paid so far, your monthly payment, and your pace. Each time you pay, tap Add payment at the bottom of the Transactions tab and enter the amount, with the creditor if you like.

Worth understanding what this is tracking: the payments you log, not a live balance from your lender. So when interest or fees change what you actually owe, tap Update balance, just under Add payment, and enter the current outstanding figure. Carlo adjusts your progress and recalculates the monthly payment.

If the payoff date passes with a balance still owing, the goal offers to Extend to a new date. Once it is paid off, tap Close it out to move it to Completed, either from that prompt or on the Edit tab, where Archive Goal is the other option.
