Log a charitable gift
How to record a donation so it counts toward your giving totals.
Giving is not a separate section of the app. It is a mark you put on a category: press and hold a coin, open its Edit tab, turn on Mark as giving, and save. From then on everything logged to that category counts toward your giving totals. A recurring bill can be marked the same way, which is how a monthly pledge or tithe gets counted without you entering it by hand each month.
Once a category is marked, logging a gift is ordinary. Add the transaction by voice or by hand and put it in that category. A fresh Carlo already starts you with a monthly Giving coin marked for everyday gifts, and an Annual Giving category for the larger, once-a-year kind.
A gift spends its category like any other purchase, so a $50 donation from your Giving coin leaves that coin $50 lighter. What the giving mark changes is the accounting: Carlo can then show you what you have given across the year, whichever categories it came from.
