Update your income

Set what you take home, and record extra pay in a month that had some.

Open More and tap Income, then Adjust income to open the current month.

Tap Primary take-home. Before the amount, choose how often you are paid: Monthly, Semi-mo, Bi-weekly or Weekly. Then enter what you actually take home each time rather than a monthly figure, and Carlo shows the monthly equivalent underneath so you can check it looks right. This is the part worth getting correct, because everything else is derived from it.

Tap Save and Carlo re-splits your income across Discretionary, Bills, Annual and Goals. Whatever is left over shows as Unallocated, and in coral if you have budgeted past what you earn.

For a month with extra pay, a freelance project or a bonus, tap Add additional take-home pay instead. Enter the amount and a note if you want one. It counts toward that month only, so it will not inflate your budget going forward. To remove it later, swipe left on the row, which offers an undo, or open it and use the trash icon, which asks first and cannot be undone.

Your primary take-home can be edited but never deleted, since a budget with no income behind it has nothing to work from.

Past months are a record rather than a form. The History card opens them read-only, so you can see what a month actually looked like without being able to rewrite it.
